A Question Part two

After blogging the following question, I received various answers from different places.

The very next day in my e-mail I received my daily bible verse which was: Mark 11:24 "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
That scripture made me think that maybe God doesn't say no until you begin to doubt. Maybe it's my doubting even a little bit that makes God say that she doesn't believe I love her enough and I am capable so I'm putting it off for her until she does.

But then I spoke with a friend and she said there were times when she really did believe all the time without any doubting and didn't get what she was looking for. The comments that followed my question were very helpful too. I think that they are right, God has a wonderful and just plan for your life and that you shouldn't worry or doubt His plan, if he does say no then it's for a good reason.

Favorite Poem

I had a little time on my hands today so I felt the urge to post my favorite poem everywhere I can today! I love this poem and I believe that everyone who reads it perspective changes about Christianity.
(If you are used to me blogging once a week take notice that I blogged something yesterday please read the question I posted yesterday and add your comment thanks.)

Christian by Maya Angelou

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin."
I'm whispering "I was lost,"
Now I'm found and forgiven.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
but, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain,
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
who received God's good grace, somehow.

A Question

Hello everyone I am going to do something different for this blog today. I want to know if you can answer something for me. I have been working on strengthening my faith as far as praying and receiving. I was wondering, is it a lack of faith to wonder if God will say no? For an example, let's say someone is believing that God will get them this one job but they look for other jobs just in case the answer is no. Is that a lack of faith that they are thinking maybe God will say no?
Please comment and I will then blog later my experiences on getting this answer.
God Bless!

Mighty Overcomers

I heard someone talking about 9/11 and they had sighed and threw their hands up saying "what kind of world do we live in!" Out of all the crime, saddness, death and tragedies such as 9/11, it's enough to get you bogged down with anger and grief and fear. But you have to remember we as Christians are overcomers. We overcome all those people who hate us. We overcome all those who commit grotesque crimes against us. The best defense to me is going out there and filling as much people as we can with the knowledge of Christ. Our best weapon is prayer and faith in Him. Not just in America but all the world. And if anyone rejects you? Keep on praying and believing that He said that every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess Jesus is Lord. (romans 14:11)

"for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God." 1 John 4-5
